A Legendary Space For Iconic Sound 

Studio B is instantly recognizable by its vibrant, multi-colored fabric swirls adorning the walls. The mirrors, curtains, and uniquely shaped acoustic baffles remain unchanged, transporting you back to 1972. The live room retains its classic dry acoustic properties that defined the sound of so many beloved records from Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumors” to Stevie Wonder’s “Songs In The Key Of Life”. Notably, the "drumbrella" in the corner produces the beautifully dry, thuddy drum tone heard on countless hit records. Designed by the renowned Gary Kellgren and Tom Hidley, Studio B is a space that musicians consistently describe as "magic." Its perfectly dry, compressed acoustics elevate the sound of any instrument played in the live room while adding a controlled ambience to live ensembles. Studio B is equipped with a vintage Hammond B3 organ and an upright piano. It also includes a medium-sized iso booth ideal for vocals, acoustic instruments, or guitar. However, once you experience the live room's unparalleled sound, you'll want to track as much as possible there. 

The Control Room 

Studio B’s control room centers around a workstation loaded with vintage outboard gear from Neve, API, BAE, Teletronix, Urei, and more. Monitoring is powered by dual 15” TAD/JBL soffit-mounted mains paired with an 18” subwoofer. Additional monitoring includes ATC 45 midfields with a subwoofer and NS-10M nearfields.
